Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

PocketLingo is built on a simple principle: your learning data belongs to you and never leaves your device.

What we store

Your progress (learned words, mastery levels, streaks, profile names and preferences) is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. We have no servers that receive or hold your learning data, and we have no way to read it.

What we don't do

Content delivery

The app downloads vocabulary (vocab.json) and audio files from our content server to function. These requests are ordinary file downloads; they carry no personal information beyond your IP address, which any web server sees by necessity and which we do not log or analyze.

Advertising

PocketLingo currently shows no third-party advertising. If advertising is introduced in the future, this policy will be updated first, and ad partners will only receive the technical data any ad request inherently carries (such as IP address and device type).

Offline use and deletion

Once installed, the app works offline using cached content. You can delete all your data at any time by removing the site from your browser (or app) storage — no request to us is needed, because we never had it.

Children

The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children, and requires no age-gated interaction.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date above will change and the new version will appear on this page before any new practice takes effect.

Contact

Questions about this policy: use the developer contact shown in the app's footer.
